Jeff Irvine has more than 25 years of experience working in project management and daily operations for the renewable energy, utility and telecommunications industries. He has worked extensively in the United States and internationally, overseeing the engineering and construction of utility companies, substations, solar farms, wind farms, transmission lines and telecommunication sites. His years of international work include successful large-scale projects in Bogota, Colombia, and Indonesia, which earned him a reputation for effective project management in scenarios that ranged from straightforward to extreme and hazardous. He specializes in keeping projects on time and on budget, and in turning around under-performing projects. As project manager and operations manager, he has successfully overseen large-scale projects totaling in excess of $450 million. These include projects for EDF Renewable Energy (formerly enXco), JES Engineering, Alcoa, Koll Telecommunications, Bechtel, AT&T, Motorola, Sprint, Verizon and the United States Coast Guard. Additionally, Jeff has strong experience in business startups, new market development, new project deployment, operations organization, property acquisition, land use approvals and construction management.
Gary Izing brings decades of leadership experience working in multiple facets of the renewable energy, utility and telecommunication industries. His expertise includes strategic planning, land use planning, contract negotiation, site acquisition, licensing, site management, marketing, accounting, management, procurement, planning, contracting and implementation. Highlights of Gary's renewable-energy experience include land acquisition and project development in seven western states, in which he completed the development for construction of 500 MW of wind and solar plants. His background includes large-scale projects for EDF Renewable Energy (formerly enXco), Baran Telecom and Alcoa. He is well-versed in business startups, new market development, new project deployment, operations organization, managing budgets and ensuring profitability. He also has experience with several different software databases, including Siterra, PMO and Incite.
Richard "Dick" Timmons brings more than 30 years of management experience in renewable energy, both domestically and internationally. Dick's rich experience in wind energy traces back to the genesis of commercial wind farms in the United States. Most recently, he led and managed the development, transacting and construction of 500 MW of renewable-energy projects in Northern California totaling more than $1 billion. Over the years, he has successfully managed essentially every facet of wind farms: site acquisition, design, development, construction, operation and profitability. Specialties include strategic planning, permitting at local, state and federal level, land negotiations/entitlements, wind and solar site design, interconnections for power delivery, support financing requirements, aviation radar consulting and mitigation, energy resource assessment, program/project management and cycle time management.
Tandy has worked in the energy business his entire professional life, which spans decades. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Business Development for Abengoa Solar LLC. His duties included all business development and regulatory and lobbying activities for solar energy projects in the western U.S. He also served as project manager and handled the permitting, development and financing of Mojave Solar Project, a 250 MW concentrating solar power plant near Barstow, Calif. Prior to Abengoa Solar, Tandy spent 20 years as Asset Manager of the Solar Electric Generating System (SEGS) facilities in Calif. He worked for the original owner, Luz Engineering Corporation, plus two subsequent owners, Kramer Junction Company and NextEra (formerly FPL Energy). Tandy began his career as Senior Financial Analyst at Shell Oil Company. He then worked as Financial Manager at McCulloch Oil, and as a Regulatory Analyst at Southern California Edison.
Scott Lane brings nearly 25 years of experience in managing projects for renewable energy and telecommunication companies. During that time, he helped to develop and build projects totaling 6,000 megawatts of renewable energy. The projects were located throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, and included solar PV, wind, biomass and biogas facilities. Highlights of Scott’s experience include managing project development, real estate/zoning issues, construction, technology and operations. He specializes in P&L management, SCADA design, managing grid connection and congestion issues, strategic planning, contract negotiation, program and operational management, project implementation and communication systems.
